Some of these journeys have already been published but are collected here for continuity, and because this just seems to be such an issue for humanity! Peace is not the absence of war, so check out the following, as well: PEACE and Peace and Awakening pages.

Humanity created the forces of war
JANU: For this morning’s journey, let there be then the calm that is needed in the midst of what seems like chaos in the world. You ask, “Why so much violence and terror in the world?” You are in those times, my brother, when Light and Darkness, so to speak, struggle for their survival, their influence in the consciousness of humanity. This is not a struggle between the Earth and those forces, for these forces are born of human consciousness and there lies the struggle. These who provide terrorism and fear, mayhem and destruction, are possessed with this side of the struggle and do not rationally, reasonably, stand in their position.
You ask if these battles are fundamentally necessary in life. They are, our brother, to the degree that these forces exist in the consciousness of beings, beings who have as yet to mature into oneness, a larger understanding of life and their own nature. They bring this upon themselves, through choices and fear. Many who are so-called against these forces of destruction have, as part of their nature, tendencies in that direction and those tendencies at times come to the fore to do battle.
Creativity and destruction are part of the duality reality, duality existence. Even in Sochi (site of the Winter Olympics), look at the forces at play. All of them created by humanity. Even the leader of the country (Putin) attempts to provide a peaceful environment for those who come, while supporting violence and terrorism in other regions, other countries. This dance of life is an illusion, filled with ambiguity, drama, politics, and subterfuge. When one focuses only upon a moment of peacefulness in this event, the larger view reveals a different perspective, a more complex reality.
How then does one commit to letting go of obsessions blocking a peaceful future of freedom, liberation, and harmonious creativity? It begins by seeing the truth of your current position and obsessions, revealing the truth of these in the presence of a larger life, and a true love of life. We observe humanity with a clearer vision of its future and potential. And many of humanity have achieved this at this time. Its current behavior is not inevitable, but continues by choice.

Seeing the truth behind wars and terrorism
JANU: These journeys into legacies of past civilizations represent much of what is to come for humanity, for even then there was knowledge of human potential and interaction with the larger life. This legacy was deposited here by representatives of its origin.
This legacy can best be described as fortuitous for humanity, for it brings fortune upon those who endeavor to exact the best of themselves and humanity for world peace. For without it the waste of resources, time, energy, and lives would interfere with humanity’s immediate future. To bring about world peace, humanity must collectively value this above the disturbances and conflicts.
Now, those consumed with the fear of wars and the like blocking their vision, their clarity of workable alternatives, this legacy inspires or encourages humanity to see the beginnings of a viable alternative and demand it of their leaders through non-participation with their decisions of force and destruction, warring, and the economies of these. For where would the current wars be, without the colossal funding borne on the backs of the people who want a better life? This legacy brings clarity to the public perception of the truth behind wars, terrorism, and the like, those who instigate such, and their hidden agendas. Once again, the importance of awakening for the public, the masses, to see the truth, for the leaders of these conflicts are not so inclined to withdraw.
The people are beginning to exercise their power in areas of conflict around the world, but this will grow. Nonviolent non-cooperation will be a component. The True Nature of humanity is in harmony with the ideals of this legacy and is the authority for these changes.

Why warring still exists, and choosing true peace
JANU: The discourse this evening centers around the unwillingness of humanity to claim its true power, seeing the violence around them and around the world as powerful. These forces have no power but what people give them. Humanity lives in fear of such apparent power, but will find joy and peace in the True Power within. “How does one find such power?” they might ask. By desiring it, our brother, and loving it into your life, for this True Power is in harmony with a loving nature.
Now, humanity can have wars as long as it chooses, but there are a growing number of those who have chosen the alternative, and they will move on in their awakening and understanding of life and who they are. Wars only lead to more wars, because it is a model of behavior for problem and conflict solving that most of the people and the world’s leaders have allegiance to. Why then would so many choose this path in life and hang on to it? It is because of a fear, our brother, and fear is a strong emotion, and it feeds on itself, masking more harmonious attitudes and emotions. They have yet to understand or witness the power of True Peace. Those who lose the battles harbor resentment and ill-will against the victors, festering in their culture, their consciousness, their hearts, until eventually one speaks up to lead them and the warring continues.
One can choose not to fight and move beyond the perception of, the model of, winners and losers. Compromising with solutions that benefit everyone is always a better path. Making choices in life with greater and greater understanding is the way.

The end of wars
JANU: We are serving then this evening a climate of change. This climate we speak of has to do with the receding of warring conflicts soon to come.
There are changes in the human experience as a result of changes in the structures and orders of Life. The collective human experience in the Earth is heading for a change. The source of this, in part at least, is an awakening within the collective human, deciding on its own to change, realizing that allowing the warring model of life to continue is not profitable and does not bring peace.
This has been brewing in the collective human psyche and consciousness for some time. The manifestation of this will begin to be apparent in the next few years. Faint beginnings in three years. How can there be a battle if no one attends? The human spirit is maturing and in time for many other changes. Remove the funding and the wars go away. We see this beginning in Europe and spreading from there. The Scandinavian countries first.
Controlling funding is the method. Planning for a new future is the source. Never underestimate the power of the spirit of humanity. Namaste, our brother.

How does world peace begin?
JANU: We are aware of what has been transpiring in the midst of the clamoring to engage what is professed to be the peace movement on Earth by humanity. At this stage in human consciousness, what is the model of peace on Earth? Does it transcend the borders of nations and groups? Does it truly transcend races? Does it transcend religions and their differences? Does it include individual philosophies and perspectives? Does it include freedom for everyone? Without these things, can it include a respect for other species on other worlds? Can there be a single model for peace among all peoples? And what are the children taught in the home? Where does world peace begin?
How many that profess the need for love in the world, truly love themselves and own all they have been? So does peace in the world begin with peace in the self. And what does that look like, our brother, and where does that come from? What do you draw upon to experience this, to be this?
Could it be the ‘divine self’ within, the True Nature that is eternal, the ‘still, small voice’ seldom accepted for its loving wisdom? This is the common ground, our brother, for the human collective, the true meaning of oneness.
