Understanding commitment

JANU: The subject this morning is commitment. Even commitment, our brother, is subject to flexibility, modification, limitations, but it speaks well of character, compassion, vision, and integrity. Now, some commitments are not always the wisest, but are sincere at the time. Therefore, as experience brings clarity to the relationship, at times correction is called for and wisdom dictates this, you see, for even wisdom is changing. However, commitment is a good beginning, and leads to follow through to achieve goals.

Now, the foundation for commitments is varied. They can be selfish in nature, destructive, or loving, uplifting, serving, understanding, and enriching. This is why the declaration of a commitment is not held by others, or by Life, as written in stone. They are an attempt to create, without complete knowledge, with only a belief in outcome, the desire. And yes, a course taken may call for re-commitments as experience is gained. Even the commitment to survive can be overcome by overwhelming circumstance. A commitment is still a wonderful thing and it enriches the life and inspires others. Taking a chance on life takes courage, resolve, and patience. But no matter the outcome, our brother, life continues. New opportunities are presented.

Now, understanding this, a change in the commitment should not be taken as failure with self-recrimination. One may re-commit, with a new understanding. Can you really condemn anyone who commits to improving their life, yet stumbles in the process? Isn’t that what life is all about? Agreeing to incarnate and navigate life does not hold guarantees, but a chance. Engage what you may with the understanding you have and your resources, but the outcomes pale in worth to the willingness to try.

Enrich your satisfaction with this understanding. Be patient with yourself, even as Life is. Namaste.

The nature of the mind

JANU:    Let us look today into the nature of the combination of mind and so-called True Nature. They are one and the same, our brother. Physically unconscious of this fact, this reality, most walk the path of life with limited identity, which serves their purpose for the moment.

Mind is as a shadow of the reality of the True Nature’s consciousness. Always one, but the mind a reflection of, an extension of, a portion of, the True Nature consciousness. When working consciously as one mind, aligned with attributes, elements, and a shifting relationship as awakening continues, there is true synergism here. It is true; the mind is an interface between the larger reality of your being and the physical experience. The mind frequently draws upon inspiration, intuition, insight, which are nurtured by the True Nature’s consciousness.

The conscious physical mind—or should we say, physically oriented mind—has access to the larger collective consciousness of your True Nature. Out-of-the-body and near-death experiences open the door larger to this reality of being. This is in part an attraction to the drug-induced altered state that seems a euphoric experience of freedom, liberation, and expansion, but confusing to the system of consciousness while incarnate. It makes it difficult to integrate the elements of consciousness into a balanced collective, unified reality. But it seems far easier than the balanced approach to enlightenment and the human nature takes what seems to be the easier path, without concern of ramifications to the total being.

Much of the motivation here is to escape the discomforts, struggles, and pain that they have brought to incarnate life. The larger goal is to own all of it, our brother, and integrate it into a more balanced and understanding relationship with life. Patience, commitment, understanding, and a growing love of life, with the guidance of your True Nature, is a better way. So, the mind and the True Nature consciousness are one, our brother. Living in the truth of this yields a fuller life.

You ask, “Does the mind exist only for the purpose of incarnate life?” Yes and no, our brother, for the mind during incarnate life is conditioned to that interface, but discarnate it is not so limited but remembers the experience. Thank you, our brother, and namaste.

Carrying on with life and not withdrawing is a true achievement

Remaining in the physical has always been a challenge for me, as I prefer the inner life. My journeys with Janu have helped me to understand the connection of the two. This is a personal acknowledgement of my growth, as well as inspiration for others on the path.

JANU:    Good morning, our brother. You’re beginning to experience the oneness of our relationship. Not an easy concept to allow into the consciousness for many. You are beginning to realize that adversity and uplifting achievement draw us closer together, when one embraces everything they experience in life in ownership. In some ways, the life free of challenge is somewhat barren.

For today’s journey, let us discuss—or should we say explore—pinnacle experiences. And at times, they occur together. A pinnacle experience, then, is that which reveals understanding that is somewhat unique on life’s journey. A life of peace can be realized in the midst of challenges and blessings.

Do not see challenges in your life as failures of any kind. Can there be compassion for the suffering of others by those who’ve never experienced any, never taken one step in their shoes? Helping others see their circumstance with a new perspective that empowers them is a worthy manifestation of your own experience. How long you survive incarnate life is not the issue. The experience, the wisdom, the service you gain from it each moment is its purpose. Carrying on and not withdrawing from life is true achievement. Thank you, our brother, and namaste.

Elements of awakening

JANU: Communications such as these are not an intrusion into the integrity of being, but an awakening of the being to its True Nature. Sojourns and other experiences are never wasted for they are recorded, imprinted into the consciousness of the True Nature. Many of these journeys are new experiences into the larger life and these are recorded as well. The system of communication which we employ is by no means the only one available, but it speaks to your desire for integrity and a procedure that is beneficial to everyone at some point.

We would have you know that the sense of separate identity gives way to a more unified one. No longer the sense of appeasement to bring about a larger reality. More one of attunement to an already existing oneness. The incarnate life continues, still serving its purpose as a classroom, so to speak, to gain wisdom and to serve the flow of life, but a more enlightened sojourn incorporating more of the faculties of the True Nature. Yes, we are one, but more aware of it, making choices with greater insight and the greater balance of perspective of the True Nature and its unlimited resources.

Once again, we speak of the path of awakening. When elements of this suddenly appear in the lives of individuals, there can be confusion and fear, startled by unfamiliar awarenesses. Therefore, the need for a process of awakening that is patient and allows for acclimation and understanding. Namaste, our brother.

Conscious merging with your True Nature

JANU: We are one. Establishing this frame of reference for communication and insights is a beginning. Being conscious as one entity is a co-existence of many elements of consciousness. Just as your physical body and brain, which is your physical body, and mind, which transcends the physical reality, co-exist as one, independent in many ways but nonetheless at one, mutually beneficial, each needing the other for the experience and the particular journey. Unique to the entity, you see, or unique as the entity. It is not unlike this, being one in consciousness with and as your True Nature. How can it be otherwise? But the framework evolves, becomes more sophisticated, more capable and the understanding unfolds in a natural way.

In time you will hear the voice of others as they explore this evolution in consciousness, and you will learn from each other. When leaving the body, the human imprint remains but no longer dominates consciousness, for all you have ever been and done, on any level, is imprinted. You may call memory, if you wish. For nothing is lost but remains a resource to draw upon and to add to.

Your True Nature journeys with you through life and, little by little, your relationship as one explains itself, reveals itself. And you realize you’re a larger being in a larger life with larger opportunities and a larger service. Continue, our brother. We are one in this. Namaste.

The Truth lives in everyone

JANU: We are rich in the knowledge that the Truth lives in everyone, as the primary reality, tolerating unenlightened excursions into life to gain experience, which always adds to the Truth within. Understanding the complexities and nuances of incarnate life and the primary nature of Truth is still unfolding. The challenge and opportunity here is to grow in consciousness in awareness of this complexity and to choose to see the difference so that, even continuing on the incarnate journey, the Truth is revealed, understanding deepened, and maturity develops. In the play, so to speak, the dance of life, but not of it.

That kind of equilibrium is very useful. When observing life, and seeing Truth, how deeply is it perceived? The experience of the incarnate life serves mastership greatly. All realities of life that are embraced and experienced contribute to a growing consciousness. As awakening continues, all of these can be accessed to contribute to a more complete you. Do not underestimate the contribution to your existence, your being, of the incarnate experience. Allow that life to reveal its Truth. And you are not the only one that benefits, our brother.

Even misperceptions, misunderstandings, are rooted in the Truth of life, for that Truth allows them, you see, to continue the path of discovery and reveal many things about the layers and processes of consciousness. Grow more flexible in the embrace of opportunity and the results. Namaste.

Explore life, moving on without regrets

JANU: Much of exploring life is ‘deciding to know,’ attuning to realities, accepting them for what they are without disturbing them. Agreeing to incarnate involves much more than incarnating, you see. Being a presence in another reality has already changed that reality, and every moment changes it further. Understand this, our brother: service to life can co-exist in more than one reality at a time. Much can be set in motion to support the flow of life and enrich the harvest of experience.

A thorn, so to speak, in the side of living appears to be not knowing, understanding just out of reach, or so it seems. Understanding something different or new to you at this time does not require pushing, impatience, demands, but allowing an embrace of what already is. It takes no effort at all, our brother. The effort is in keeping things from you, which is of your own making.

As you move through life, be aware of interactions with others and the experience that leaves behind in them. Mistakes can be a blessing, as they can reveal so much. The ‘trial and error’ success in living is an honorable path. Regret them not, but learn and move on. Dwell not with regret. Understand all of your creations and move on.

Responsible observation of yourself and others

JANU: We are sandwiching in between episodes the more transparent part of the physical journey. ‘Transparent’ meaning that which is easier to see through. Some would say it’s easier to see through the ego and mind of another than of oneself. But it only seems so. How can you appraise another’s path you haven’t walked? What, then, do you base it upon? Seeing what’s in yourself can be completely yours.

What determines, then, the ease of rendering a reality in your life transparent? How much you own who you are. Your True Nature has this ability to see through the masks that are worn. The question remains: Do you really want to see behind your masks? Can you find peace with these revelations?

When you attempt to see behind the masks of others, it opens the door for judgement, condemnation, and the desire to convey these revelations to others, to the person whom you observe. But they can’t own these things, hearing from you. They must confront and own these on their own. You cannot grow for another. But you can inspire by example.

When observing any part of life, what are you capable of observing and understanding? Profound knowledge bears responsibility. Great care must be taken to inspire the sovereignty of another. Observe and understand what you may, but be kind and loving to others, and harmless. Namaste.

Mastering your many interests

JANU: For this evening’s journey, let us not be confused by the many scenarios of life but cast our attention upon those that make sense for our current endeavors. There can be a tendency to consider so many alternatives to the path to be taken that decisions are hard to make or commit to. Attempting to explore all possibilities on any subject is a dance of futility, for you will never be aware of all the possibilities in any direction in life. Pick one that rings true, makes sense, and is encouraged by your sensitivity to it, always open to the flow that changes.

Avoid the temptation to cast doubt and gloom on a desire by way of anticipation of not having the time to complete it. If that is your focus, that will be your experience. You are the co-creator of your life, so create it as if it were already yours. Even the most committed being, to a particular endeavor to master and complete, does so by way of many talents and interests and experiences that can be drawn upon. There is a synergism to all of life and all of its possibilities. Keep your heart, and your mind, your imagination, and your confidence open to a full life. The number of days matters not. The moment matters.

Enjoy life and many interests. There is no requirement or tradition that you must have only one interest in life to master it. Dip your toe, so to speak, many times into the flow of life. How else will you know the wisdom of any choice? You are incarnate to experience and to serve. What we do with that remains to be seen. Namaste.

Crosswinds in the flow of life

JANU:    For this morning’s journey, let us partake of a nuance of living, that being what might be called crosswinds in the flow of life. Now by ‘crosswind’ we mean the crossing of paths of various flows of life, bringing awareness, communication and orientation. Now make no mistake. The flows of life are countless, a complex reality, and accounts for the confusion for some that occurs on the path of their choice. Recognizing a cross-flow in the presence of your own flow is valuable.

Any cross-flow you recognize has elements or patterns similar to some of your own, otherwise they would not be noticed, our brother. There are similarities all over life, indicating how that network of life maintains its integrities, consistency, and mutual support. Life being understood as one system composed of so many. This addresses the use of the term ‘opportunities’ that occur through life, we have spoken of. When one’s life path touches another, opportunities occur that can benefit both, or even more—mentioning only two is a limited example of the larger reality for the purpose of understanding.

How does one then recognize a crosswind on their journey through life? A beginning for this is noticing that something has occurred in your life, unbeckoned, that you see no reason for and are confused by. Begin with the question: Is there an opportunity here that is beneficial? Is this an encounter with someone else’s path, their feeling, their thought, their understanding? Without surrendering your integrity, allow the consideration and choose to understand it.

Yet another understanding of the complexity of life, which speaks to its richness, diversity, and ongoingness. In this way, you understand that every life is significant. No need to fear this. It is a healthy part of living. Be at peace in the truth of your own integrity and inner values, for your instability is of little service to another and brings confusion to interpretation. There will always be more opportunities. Life does not quit on itself, or cast part of itself away. So enjoy the journey, our brother, recognizing opportunities and playing what some might call the ‘game of life.’ Namaste.
